The rest of my day showed a slight hint of promise mentally and physically for the upcoming deployment, as we packed and laid out our equipment for pre-deployment training. The full month of May should be interesting for me and my fellow conrads. We will be in Louisianna for jrtc, training, sharing showers, sharing food, sharing high thoughts of positive reinforcement called "brain washing", sharing cigarettes, and working hard to train proficiently at our upcoming deployment so that you lucky civilian americans can lay your mcdonalds riden asses in bed and enjoy the freedom that we soldiers sacrifice. But dont feel guilty, it's our pleasure. We do what you don't because we are able to make the sacrifices that most can't, we can carry the weighted down bags that extra mile, fire that bullet that might make this great, fortunate country safer for our young and old. We volunteer for the hard line we must walk because we love to bring a smile to the face of a loved one, neighbor, and stranger. I personally love to see a child, man, or woman smile in something good that i have done, especially when it is from a person in a far away country that doesnt even understand why I am there givng them water, food, shelter, and freedom. People all over make jokes about the armed forces soldiers ; saying we only do what we do because we can do nothing else. I personally have seen many areas of the U.S. armed forces including foreign forces. The amount of potential for each individual in this sacred armed force is tremendous! These soldiers are people from all walks of life. I have met fortune five hundred sons and daughters that serve not for the money but the smile on a strangers face. I have met enlisted soldiers with degrees in many different areas that joined the army because they would rather be able to provide a safe enviornment for a less fortunate 20 year old begin elementry school in a foriegn country. These men and women that represent the armed forces are my HERO'S! THEY carve the path for the leaders of our countries. Those mothers and fathers in uniform sacrifice extra time that they could be with their families, job opportunites, college, and unfortunately sometimes their life... For you. So thank these young men and women that have the courage and soul to give up what they treasure and love, so that you may be safe, and provided for. Thank you civilians for appreciating everything we soldiers have done and everything we continue to do!!! We thank you...

This morning started out like any other that I can remember for the past 2 1/2 years... A 4 mile run to who knows where. Wake up, put on my army issued pt uniform, with my please dont hit me while im running in the middle of the road belt, standing in formation freezing at 0630 in the morning. The most enjoyable thing about pt is the cold 40 degree chill of the morning air, the pollen from the million pine trees invading and attacking my sinuses, and the detoxification of alcohol from the night before. Need not mention the cadences we sing that haunt my dreams... We finally get back to stretch out the pain and shower, dress in our respective military uniform and then hit the road for the adventure of a well planned day of nothing.

Love of my life

Karin Kjellenberg... Words cannot describe her but in this case words are all that you viewers have.
Karin is the most attractive, personable, extravagent, kind hearted, girl in my life! She means everything to me and she is the rock I stand on. Behind every great Soldier is the real Trooper and Karin is mine. She gives me the peace at mind, loved heart, and balanced soul that every person in the world deserves.
Fate found us, is the best way of describing our destined day at the baltimore vigin mobile festival. I have my friends to thank for dragging me out of the barracks.. Thanks again josh, alex, kyle, B, and B's sister. She has one of the coolest friends to thank, and im sure she does daily. Thanks Frida for convincing karin to get off the coffee bench. If it wasn't for the love from friends we would have never met. To this day i still feel like the luckiest man alive... I hope there are many more days to come.

Looking through the glass....

I set this blog up for the sole purpose of letting my friends and family view my everyday life.
I hope that you join me on the adventure of this thing we call life and get a better understanding of my personality and my views on this insane freak show we call a world. This should be a wild ride ride of emotions running at high rpm's and thoughts that could bring a genious to his knees holding his head... Enjoi!
